  • our renovated and electrified church, and more pictures of our grand re-opening and tea party on 19 June 2010

Thanks to the over-zealous filters on my email account, I missed these brilliant photos by our committee member Richard Sloan when he sent them, so here they are, and apologies for their lateness!

What these pictures show particularly well are the fruits of the renovation and electrics work done at St. Mary’s over the winter.

  • grand re-opening of the church and tea party, 19 June 2010

To mark the reopening of the Church after a long, hard winter of renovation work, and to join in with the CCT’s nation-wide event, we held a tea party in collaboration with the Friends Group at St. James, Cooling. We were honoured by a visit from Gravesham’s mayor, Bill Lambert, as well as Copperfield Clog, who, with flautist and saxophonist David, provided constant entertainment for all present. Many thanks to all who attended, it was a great success, and the clouds parted and the rain held off at all the right moments!

Many thanks also to Clive Stanley, for these pictures:
